Real estate in India is notorious for lack of transparent price information. The fact that home prices are very sensitive to location, build quality, furnishings, and a whole host of other factors goes to further complicate things. Prices averaged at a city or even a suburban level are largely useless due to the sheer diversity of the various factors mentioned above. That’s the reason we zero-in on specific precincts only when discussing prices – to restrict variables.
Note that we have taken care to exclude outlier transactions.
‘How’s the Market’ is our humble effort to provide accurate and credible (actual transacted prices sourced from a state government department) price information to home buyers, sellers and all market participants.
